Me to husband: Do you enjoy having the cleaners come as much as I do?
Him: I don't know. How much do you enjoy it?
Me: It makes me happy all the way to my very core and it creates a little fountain of joy there that spills over to all my extremities.
Him: Oh... uh, then I guess no, I don't enjoy it quite as much as you do.

Wonderous Love
The story of Christmas is nothing less than the story of wonderous LOVE. It is story that children understand, but confounds the wise.
It is the story of a Divine being who chose to make himself small, so small. He took on a nature far, far beneath his own and not just that, but He chose to become the smallest and least of all those with this nature, and why? To save us from our own self destruction. This is the purest and truest love of all.
We, those creatures, had not yet nor ever since nor ever will show such Love, not even for our own. It is surely a thing to be wondered at again and again and year after year and it never gets old.
May you and yours welcome this little Great one into your hearts and home and experience the joy of His wonderous love this Christmas season.

Some of my clients were just here and there was some noise downstairs during our appointment.
The woman says to me, "Oh thank goodness your children DO fight. The last several times I was here, I just couldn't believe how perfect your children were."
"Well, they're very good children," the husband cut in concerned about my feelings.
"They are good children," I said, "but they are also REAL children."

This is Why I Do What I Do
My youngest child took his nap happily on my oldest child today.
My second oldest child carefully transcribed his handwriting work: A happy family is an early heaven. "It is," he told me.
My fifth child shared some hard earned treats with my fourth child today.
My fourth child played me every song I requested from his new Christmas songs for Piano book and my third child played them all over again.
I could share some frustrations from yesterday or some concerns I have for tomorrow, but this was today and it is the reason I do what I do. There is no paycheck that could bring this kind of satisfaction.

Homemade Bad Jokes Make Me Laugh
Zachary: Mom, what do vegetables say when they can't find the peeler?
Answer: Just wait, I'm sure it will turn'ip.
