...because I'm too busy for much else.

Rockin' at Cracker Barrel

Can you see the black and yellow spider in our garden?
Hint: It's right above that odd zig zaggy web.

Aw. He's so cute, with his tongue out and all that.
We have those spiders here too. They are HUGE! And Icky! What is with the zig zag thing, they all do that, I wonder why?
Cute kid. Ugly spider. Blech!
What's wrong with picture posts? Great for busy moms, I do them all the time, and the kids love them.
We saw one of those spiders at the park today. I commented to my mil that we hardly ever see them much anymore -- too many pesticides? I think he's pretty. As long as he's on the flowers and not me.
Welcome home... It looks like you all had a wonderful vacation!
I'm with Matilda. "cute kid. Ugly spider"... it would actually probably be considered a beautiful spider by most - but still enough to scare ME half to death and make my heart pound for at least a week!
That's an orb weaver.
It's a black and yellow argiope, and they must be everywhere! I had one in my yard and posted her photo on my blog today. Unfortunately my Nicholas tried to touch her and she jumped off the web. I think it scared Nicholas half to death, and I don't blame him. The spider was 1 1/2 inches long!
Great pictures! That is some spider. ~Shudder~
Don't you love the Cracker Barrel? We went about three months ago. As we pulled up to the building, one of our sons said "we're having dinner at a retirement home!?"
A retirement home? That's hilarious. Old men and my boys just LOVE the place. Though it's hard to find a low calorie meal there for me, I'd never dream of stopping anywhere else when we travel.
