Rain, Rain...

...I'm glad you came.

Sometimes these beautiful spring days cause me stress. I somehow feel pressured to take advantage of the weather and enjoy it to the fullest. I almost feel obliged to get out and make the most of it and a certain anxiety that, despite my best efforts, I'm missing an opportunity. Then the clouds roll in and the sky cracks open and lets fall a torrent of rain...

We may or may not go to the library today.

We may or may not bake banana bread.

No sun. No pressure. Just a slow paced rainy day and a welcomed change.

Been there too.

Sunny days bring tasks to get done, and things to do.

Rainy days seem to bring naps, art projects, and lots of book reading.

I thank God for both!

I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I always feel like the kids have to go out if it's nice, esp since it's been so cold during the winter. I was just thinking to myself earlier how I wish it would rain to take the pressure off...lol

I was also just thinking this same thing. I was telling someone that my housework tends to suffer more in the nice weather. Because, like you, I feel almost obligated to be out enjoying the beautiful day. And I just haven't figured out a way to get the dishes done while pushing kids on swings at the park. :)

I hear you. Right now I am exhausted (it's a Friday thing) and want to curl up on the couch.

Where are my children? Out back running through the sprinkler. They're very cute but I'd opt for a rain day right now.

YES!! I feel exactly the same way, and I thought I was the only one! I feel so wasteful if I am inside on a sunny day, but rain takes all the pressure off.

I like housebound rainy days, so long as there are not too many of them in a row - but once in a while, they're lovely.

I felt the EXACT same way this morning. After all my complaining about the cold this winter, i felt gulity for being excited about the rain today....but it was so nice to have a chance to catch up on some laundry.

I like rainy days too. I feel like I can snuggle on the couch and read, and move at a relaxed pace. On the beautiful sunny days, I'm rushing to get through everything so that we can get outside.

Ditto. Love those rainy days, but they are soooo rare here!
