I Am David

I Am David, the movie, is a beautiful and moving story of determination and healing. I especially appreciate the way it illustrates the importance of the relationship between mother and son. Powerful.

We enjoyed the movie too. Make sure you check out the book. It was originally titled "North to Freedom" (by Ann Holm) but has been reprinted under the title "I Am David" as well.

Thanks for the post.
I feel a bit out of it as I have not heard of it yet. It definately looks like something to check out.

Oh, yes, don't you love the scene in the church with the choir singing and his realization of the sacrifices others had made? Beautiful. We loved it.

I cried during that scene into the next when the turning point happens, it seems like the church scene brought about the next scene, what do you think?
I have reviewed this on my blog, so that others will know this amazing movie. Jim Caviezel's performance is mesmerizing!
