LOL! When my eldest nephew was a similar age and living in England, we taught him to say "That's absolutely preposterous" before a trip to the US to see his American grandparents - my brother tried to pretend all English three-year-olds use words like that!

When I was little my parents thought it was adorable to teach me the word "ominous". As in: "Those clouds look ominous."
