Off You Go

  • Novenas begun tomorrow to St. Gianna Berreta Molla, patron of mothers and physicians, will end on time for her feast day, April 28th.
  • EWTNKids is a fun place for little ones. Check it out!
  • Lastly, expecting an income tax refund? Bankrate has some smart ideas for putting it to good use (I noticed Pay Bills With It wasn't on there, but neither was Buy Laptop You've Been Drooling Over).

Dear Suzanne, so sorry. My fault. Her feast is on the 28th. (Yes, I did know that, but a card we received in the mail from the Saint Gianna society threw me off!) Oops.

We're doing 1# "Pay off credit card debt." Which isn't anywhere near as fun as some other things I can think of (like a laptop) but will help me sleep at night.

Funny...one thing we did do with our refund was buy a laptop my husband has been drooling over! He "needed" it for school this fall.

Tax refund....seems I remotely remember one....in two checks it was gone.....paid off the Visa and paid 1/2 of Secondborn's tuition to attend 11th grade!! I'm grateful!!

Thanks for the links and reminders. We are using the majority of our tax refund to pay down our home equity line of credit and the rest will be added to our emergency fund...I look forward to the day when it won't go to debt!

That's an easy one, every year we pay our 3 boys catholic school tuition for the following year. Right now they are in K-8 school. By the time they are in HS it might cover 1 and 1/2 if were lucky. Guess i'll have to get a pt job by then or we can save, save, save....luckily my husband works at a catholic college and they offer free tuition for faculty children. Thank God!

Congratulations on your Blog Win.
I just found your site through that announcement. I also thank you for the "head's up warning" about St. Gianna novena starting tomorrow.
I should put a holy card of her on my holy card blog. She is a Saint for Today...that is for sure.
Again, congratulations.
