Ever since Alexander came down with a stomach bug, I've been looking at the rest of the week's meal plans in a new light. Every time I go to make a recipe I think to myself, "Is this something I'm going to want to see again?"
I've come to the not-too-surprising conclusion that when it comes to tossing your cookies, no one kind is better than the next.

LOL! I know the feeling.
And, hey, I LOVE the new look here!
Too true!
The blog looks great, Suzanne. Springtime!
Exactly. We had a macaroni follow up on Christmas Eve. I would have skipped the tomato sauce if I had only known.....
I love the new look, Suzanne!
We have our own time bombs ticking right now and our menu includes lots of toast and crackers!
Aw. WE were doing that last week - it will pass. And until then, perhaps you'll want to stick with the tried and true applesauce, bananas and toast? They seemed to stay down a lot better than anything else.
In our house, as soon as one child throws up, I put every one on the B.R.A.T. diet, give them all a bucket at night, and everyone stays home for a few days (the joy of homeschooling makes this possible.) That way when it spreads, it is applesauce and toast, not spaghetti I'm dealing with.
Suzanne,
I did the same thing when one of the boys was sick. I tried to force everyone else to act like they had a bug too -- offering soup broth for dinner. No one else got sick though. But it took several days for me to relax.
A friend of mine, during a bad morning sickness bout, said she wasn't eating anything she doesn't want to taste again. Yuck!
I think I need to get to the grocery store and pick up bland food. Thanks for suggestions, everyone.
Made me laugh!I hear ya on this one, honey! When my husband ahem, was tossing his cookies last week I made him something to eat and then asked him if he wanted me to just pour it directly in the toilet to save time!
