I Love...

...raspberry and chocolate. That is why, when we were forced to cancel our dinner reservations due to poor weather conditions and illness in the house, I made this ...

Chambord Drenched Double Chocolate Cake

That's the good news. The bad new is, that after making this for our date night and frosting heart-shaped cookies for the kids, I'm looking up and seeing that it is after six and I'm not sure what's for dinner just yet. Hmmmm...

Recipe will be posted at "The Virtual Kitchen," once I have my DSL connection back. Sigh...

Thanks for jumping through the hoops to post these pictures! I love St. Valentine's Day! I'll be checking back for the recipe-- in a couple weeks? :) I'm sure your kids and husband would eat just about anything knowing that this was waiting for them!

Looks delicious!
Just wanted to tell you about my son's valentine he received at our St Valentine's day party today. His friend, Gemma is 7 already, (he's almost) and they get along great, inside her homemade valentine, she wrote: "To: Nicholas Have a Happy Velentine's day and do not forget to B gaye." Had to laugh because of you earlier post this week and how innocent they are! :)

I looked "virtualkitchen.com" and found a remodeling site.

That's funny. We decided to eat in because I bought a movie for John for Valentine's Day that we wanted to watch. We got so full of appetizers and such beforehand that we never got around to cooking the main course. :)

faith, Hopefully just a few more days.

jamie, that's a great story.

love2learn,exactly! I suppose some days appetizers or desserts ARE the main course.

That looks delicious! I am looking forward to the cooking site since I am a food lover too. Where did you get such a great mold?? I am not much of a baker but I bet I could learn a thing or two from you.
We just finished the gourmet meal I prepared for the whole family. It wasn't very romantic with kids popping out of their chairs, asking to eat candy, and spilling their drinks on the tablecloth, but we enjoyed it all the same. I am pretty sure that the boys could take it or leave it but I consider it part of their education. They did not actually eat the bearnaise sauce but at least they have heard of it!
