Gloomy Childhood?

Jane Eyre

Jane, orphaned at a young age, is turned out by her aunt. After a gloomy childhood at boarding school, she leaves to find mystery and romance with the dark, strange, Mr. Rochester...

Which Classic Heroine are You?

I reread this classic last August and apart from the lonely, dark childhood and the fiancee's-first-wife-hidden-in-the-attic thing, I did feel a certain connection with this character. Perhaps I have more in common with author, Charlotte Bronte, who came from a happy home, had several sisters, and they all loved to write.

Perfect - I am Anne Shirley.

That's great, erika. I can see that.

I got Jane Erye too. I don't really see the connection with the description but I don't remeber the book at all so maybe I would. I think sometimes the character can match even if the circumstances differ. I certainly don't match any of the other characters! I might be as stubborn as Anne Shirley but I am not as positive and I am not a writer.

I haven't been commenting much lately but I am still reading and appreciating your thoughts!

Great to hear from you, ann, as always. Danielle took the quiz too and emailed me to say she is also Jane Erye. Funny hu?

LOL!!! You don't hear any strange banging anywhere in the house, do you? : )

I was Anne Shirley! Funny, because we are re-reading Anne of Green Gables right now!

Hey soul sister!
So, at the next 4Real Learning picnic, it's the Jane Eyres versus the Anne Shirleys in the softball game, right?!
We'll cream 'em!
