Confessions of an Automated Robot
Is it just me, or does anyone else have trouble with the word verification on some sites? I fail this test frequently. You know, the one under the words...
This test is used to prevent automated robots from posting comments.

And I was beginning to think it was just me:) I think it must be a glitch in the system.
Depends on the font. Sometimes I have actually just given up!
I notice you don't have a "DNA test" on your comments. Do you get tons of spam? I started getting ridiculous amounts until my husband put up a "dna test" that involved numbers instead of garbled letters. I have no idea HOW he did it, but it works :)
lucy, I don't have any verifications because when I put them up my sister, helene, can't leave comments for some reason. Her comments are important enough to me to take whatever spam comes my way. So far, it has been minimal. I hope it stays that way.
I was beginning to think I that I, too, am an automated robot.. or that I should just put my glasses on. So glad it is not just me!! Blessings to you and your dear ones, kristina
I like it when they use the number 0 and the letter O and on some sites, you can't tell the difference. It is a real pain if you can't get in when you want to, but spam is manageable in my humble opinion, unless you get sooooooo much that real people can't get through!
Funny how the simplest threads can be the most entertaining sometimes.
I think allowing Helene to comment is an excellent reason to skip the word verification. I want to know when she will be starting her own blog? :)
I do have trouble sometimes with the word verification, though I usually get it right after two or three times. I have noticed (though I've never tried it) that the blogger word verification has a little handicapped symbol next to it that you can press to listen to the characters if you have trouble reading them.

I have noticed glitches only with certain sites. Does that make me only half-robot?

LOL!
So do I! :)
All. The. Time.
Yep, me too!

Glad to meet all you other robots out there!!

It is pretty funny. Although, on a serious note, I have often thought those verifications must be a real burden for people with dyslexia.
I constantly get them wrong. It takes me on average of 3 tries to get them. I don't have the verification, and get a few spams, but not much.
My sister once told me to put. the. glass. of. Merlot. down.
That seemed to help.
;)
Oh, nutmeg!!! You've got me laughing. That's funny.
Good point, alice!
Welcome to the droid party kristina!

This post has generated several comments. I'm surprised because I have never had a problem.
Hey, maybe I'm good at something!!
Good for you, karen, now you just need to find a way to make money doing it!
Oh! Put the merlot *down*! I thought it was "Down the merlot." Well, that might make a difference.
Suzanne, so funny you mention this, because I had meant to post a short mention of this very thing!

I feel better knowing it's not just me. But it does seem to be just certain blogs with me.
I think I would rather email than put the Merlot down though. :-)
